WE - R - FAMILY!!

Yes, it's true.
I have lived in Atlanta for 12 years and have been skating every one of those years. I see my "skate family" on a regular basis (at least once a week or more). I must say, I don't know everyone's name, but I can tell you about there skating skills and personality. Birthday's, engagements, weddings, babies, broken limbs, new cars, new jobs, deaths, new pair of skates, a skate-a-thon, the weather; we are a family. Skating has not only brought us together, but it keeps us together and I am so grateful for you all!

Best Skate Memories

Whether you were in the rink on your way to the beach, what are your favorite skating memories?
One of my favorite memories was the day I switched wheels from wide speed wheels to wooden Flo Macs. My first foot on the floor was a near disaster! It took a while to regain speed control (I still have to be careful now), but EVERYTHING else was so much easier! Twists, turns, spins, stopping (sliding): effortless. It was scary to change my wheels so drastically, but so well worth it!

ROAST of the BROWNIES!!

I bought my first pair of roller skates in 2001 as a birthday gift to myself. Before that I was paying for rentals... every week... for years. If you are a regular and still on "brownies", this roast is for you:
How much money have you wasting paying for rentals all these years?!?
I SELL SKATES (hello!) There is no excuse! And if you have your own skates and know a regular still in rentals...you have my permission to GET'M!
